People with Disabilities in Transition

Maximizing Independence through Assistive Technology

 

Are you willing to participate in one or more of these activities?

 

  • Learn basic to advanced Microsoft office skills in: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, and Access

Ø  Learn basic internet skills: email, web search, media access, Skype pho

 

Ø  Test assistive technology and expand skills with preferred tools

 

Ø  Use assistive technology in real-world and daily living activities

 

Ø  Use shared resources such as Braille embosser that individuals might not be able to afford on their own.

 

Ø  Attend classes in Job Readiness, Assistive Technology, Civic Engagement

 

Ø  Learn about opportunities for  volunteering, service-learning and civic participation
